Curiousity:

Which do you think would get louder of 1200 wrms and ~3 cubes @ 30hz? Efficiency wise, I mean. I have been told the SX is more efficient with that kind of power than the XXX is.

Look at it this way, the xxx will sound better, and be just as loud as the SX. There is a debate about which gets louder, and I believe I read the SX gets louder with up to 1200 watts, for BURPS. If you have the money for the XXX stop debating and get it, you wont regret it.

SX's peak louder according to RE's tests. But the XXX's displacement advantage allows it to get louder on average over the spectrum the drivers would play in a music setup.
