should i get a DD2515?

some guy is selling one locally, and im tempted to buy. its a DD2515 Dual 2ohm.

how much power am i looking at? (RMS/Peak). i would be wiring to my kx 1200.1 kicker amp.

i currently have two kicker l7 15s. would it be better to have just this single sub rather than both my L7s? the amp is going to be the same. but i dont know if ill be able to wire it to 1ohm.

Your two L7's are going to be louder, assuming you have them in a good box that isn't stuffed in your trunk, barely able to breathe.

the thing is that they are from 2002 and one has been fixed twice. i dont think theyre the same anymore. how much louder? it was a prefab box, so everyone probably know what they sound like lol

i would go as far to say the DD would be as loud if not louder than your current setup if it was getting 1000 - 1200w and in a properly made ported box. DD's can hold their own when it comes to pumping out some numbers

some guy that works from his house. most shops in town take their customer's subs to him for fixing. i just happened find his location and cut out the middle man lol

the same. i guess he just opens them and does internal work. doesnt seem too proffesional to me, but all the shops go to him so i might as well avoid the extra fees for the same labor.

what was wrong with it?

i had two kx 1200.1 amps. one to each of my L7s. all of a sudden one stopped playing. i wasnt even playing it loud, the left one stopped playing, but when tried again a couple minutes later, the right one was sounding distorted and it would play in bursts, while the other one was working fine (the one that originally stopped playing).
