Should I get a bigger amp for my Type-R?

I have an 05' Type-R in a 2.2 cu ft ported box tuned to 32hz. And currently im giving it 500WRMS which is its RMS. Do you think that it will take anymore without hurting it? It used to be loud when I first got it, but now im getting used to it so I think 600 or 700WRMS will do good?

make a bigger box for 2 subs and keep it at 32 and just get another r and sell the 500 watt amp and get a 1000/1 amp or somthin like that

You wont hear much difference from 500-700. If you really want to make a difference, step up to around 1000-1500rms. It's rated at 500 but is very underrated, IF you treat it properly. People always throw 1000 at them and some people have thrown 2000+.

i would not risk blowing the amp, why not get another type r and a bigger amp or just upgrade to a type x?
