Should I do it?

i prefer a quiet honda that looks stock but has a built turbo setup.....................do you hate ricers or just the whole concept of a 4cyl outperforming bigger engines ?
I hate ricers, yes, and I hate it when people brag about small cylinder vehicles beating other vehicles in a drag race. You forget to count in all the other factors that would detract one from getting a honda, like luxury, looks, sound, handling, ride, build quality, reputability, dignity, and more. What you end up building is a one trick show. I would much rather build up a fox mustang, since its good looking, rwd, and fast from the beginning, all things which do not come with a comparatively priced honda.

in that case since you think a mustang has some type of luxury and any type of handling or build quality ill take an hpf stage 4 m3

Put a turbo/supercharger on that bigger engine and see what happens to that honda...

And I agree on the BBC and Turbo 400 combination. Thats cool to see in anything.

Well mustangs definitely **** when it comes to build quality or luxury, but it sure is fun to take corners sideways with them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I love m3s btw, another cheapish but very good all around car to build. I'm gunna watch that vid when I get home.

Thanks guys for all the input and I have done enough research to know that it wouldn't make since to spend a wad of cash just doing an LT1 swap, so instead I am doing the LS1 swap. I have done some pricing of the motor and transmission bundle with all hook ups and harness, etc and have gotten the general idea of about 2500-2700 bucks around here. That honestly is not too bad of a price to me.

SO I will indeed sell the black Camaro and use the money to put towards the purchase of the engine and transmission, and I won't just swap the motors out, I will take additional time modding that beast out. A lot of guys around here have the LT1 motor and I want to step it up a notch. I am aware that LT1>LS1 at lower rpm's, but once 3rd gear comes up the LS1 will stomp a mudhole in the LT1, and I am sure with the right mods that problem can be repaired if I want it repaired. I just would love to see someone thinking that the race is won in 1st and 2nd gear and then all of a sudden they are a car length behind me. lol, but I just want to take it a step further.

I know that is alot of money, but from the way I see I put way more money into my old sound system (although I postponed it), so I can make this work. I paid 500 bucks for this 1995 camaro shell and it has great exterior and interior and I do not see the point in letting that steal go. Sure buying a 98+ camaro stocked with ls1 for about 4500 bucks, but why not keep the 500 dollar car I have and add about 3k into it and KNOW that the engine is in tip top shape and basically save 1000 bucks. I could put that extra 1000 bucks to mods, paint job, etc. IMO

unless you got 10k+ in your bank account, do it, othervise you live in appartments, and your not gonna do engine swap in your parking lot, shop's gonna charge you shit load of money for it

WOW 10k, I was thinking maybe about 5-7k I am talking about just doing the stock swap. I will add money in the future, but IMO if the packaged deal with the harness and wires cost on average 2600 bucks in working condition, I don't see how a shop will charge 7-8k to install the engine, maybe about 2-3k, but if a shop charges me 8k for the install of the engine I better have a lifetime warranty that covers all racing caused problems, a rental car, and a list of other things I want. lol
