So this guy from craigslist texts me about 2 RE XXX 15's that he's selling and begins talking about how loud they are. He told me that he hit 158 dbs @ 27hz with 1400 watts total sealed on the dash using the RE's. Box is 4.5 cubes.

I asked him what meter he used and he said "the new meter". all of this is in an 04 ford escape.

This sounds like complete bullshit to me but I want some opinions on it.

Completely possible that he did meter it, he was probably using a poorly calibrated audiocontrol meter lol.
