Install for a coworker suggestions

Guy that works with me came up to me tonight and wanted to know what we could put in his car to give it a little knock. I have $600 to work with for subs an amp and to build an enclosure. ( Which will most likely be sealed ), it is going in the trunk of a Dodge Charger. I would like to do 2 12's on about 1k RMS. If anyone has some suggestions I'm all ears. I was thinking 2 AQ SDC2.5 12's to begin with but they are out of stock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Anyways, I'm looking for suggestions on what will sound good in a sealed box in his price range on 1k RMS.

Thanks guys, I didn't even think about RE SE's. I used to have an SE 15 that sounded **** good for the price, I had it ported though. Will put that on my list to check out. Still open to suggestions.

I actually thought of Type R's today. Very cheap and still have plenty of output and decent sound. Think we are going to try those. My next question would be, would you do a single 12 ported or 2 12's sealed? I have never messed with R's so no idea what they really like. I have 1k RMS to send to either one or two. How will a single R hold up ported at 33hz in 2.25 cubes on 1k RMS?

The R will work out pretty well with 1k power and ported, be a little gentle on the gains and explain to him how to play it within reason(tuning, basically) and he should be fine.

I say tell him to man up - - - run two of them ported in 3.5 at 36 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I would like to do 2 ported. Going in a trunk car though. Sometimes hard to do as much as you want without an excessive amount of work in those dang trunks ;p If it was my car I would definitely make two work somehow. In someone elses car, since I am installing it for free. I'm not really willing to go through all that trouble ;p

You can fit 4cubes NET in the trunk of a Charger with no problem. I did a box for 2 12" HDC's last year for a guy on here. Sounds good and does a 145 legal which is pretty respectable for a daily set up...

Yeah I think he's mainly looking for a little bass with his music. He says he wants it loud, but not so loud it rattles the shit out of his trunk. I don't wanna go too big, just keeping it simple and I'm sure he'll be happy.

His main criteria for me was, all wires have to be hidden and I want it to sound good and be loud, but I don't want my trunk rattling and sounding like ***.

Both seem pretty easy to accomplish with what I got so far //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And for relatively cheap.
