Mark Anthony GS1000D 1000 Watt RMS Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier Mono Amp 2000 | eBay

Technically Im not buying it. I have a $140 credit for this seller because my old amp pooped out and they have none to replace it. Im only using it till July and then I am buying a much better amp and whatever amp I get now will be for my GF. I read that the Mark Antony amps were pretty good back when they were made but have since been discontinued. If you have any advice please chime in.

I remember those amps I'm thinking they got big around here around 2005-06? Been a few years ago but most people I knew that ran them had them burn out with a quickness. Now I don't know how they had them hooked up but the only good installer we have around here stopped selling them said he had to many problems with the brand I don't think he sold them for a year before he stopped

I had a buddy that wanted me to hook up two four ohm subs bridge and I hooked them up stereo so I wouldn't mess up the amp and it smoked a few months later I used 4 gauge power wire and a good ground and I set his gain with a test tone and backed it off a lil from there. I can't say he didn't go behind me and turn gain up. But 4 ohms on stereo shouldn't stress a amp with gain set close to right

Thats *****. I read that they were good amps back in the day. It seems for every positive bit I get I get a negative bit right back leaving me nowhere in my decision. The problem is most of what they have to offer is low end crap like Boss, and SoundStorm. They have some PPI but not in my price range for a trade or whatever.

When they first came out the hype was they where going to be the greatest ever. But it never came to pass

I hate to say this but I never did hear of as many boss amp smoking out so fast unless they got hooked up backwards with positive and negative power wires even when people bridged them at 2 ohms they lasted for a bit. But I dislike most pawnshop brands they don't even put out the rated power

A cheap one that can put out power is audio pipe. Check your seller and see if he has a mono block. Make sure to do the BIG 3 and run 0 gauge wire

That amp should do 800 @ 1 ohm - IDK why they have it listed as 1k... I've ran a 2500 watt MA amp in the past (long ago - 02;-ish maybe) & it was good to me... Supposedly those amps came out of the same build house as Some USAmps when they were made... For what that's worth...

I sent them a message. I notice that there 1000w PPI was more than their 1300w PPI. I asked if it was a typo and what they wanted for the 1000w. I gave the a pitch and I hope they take it. I offered 150 for the 1000w PPI.
