haha 3600 watts FAIL! I've run these amps before. You'd be lucky to see 2500 rms out of the pair on 13v. Major power *****s. Put them on 18v and they come alive.

Well most of the places dont have a model for my car listed on their website so I have to give em all a call:eyebrow: O well its worth the time as now I know i'll obviously need it

i know that nate at excessive can make one for you give him a call most of the other places im sure can too you do better by calling and telling them what you are running and see what they recommend and props for you for listening too we dont get that much on here most of the newer guys just blow it off like we are stupid

Lol thanks for keeping hope in me. What kind of amp output should I be looking into? Someone said about 200 and nate offered me a 180 amp for $350 shipped. Would 180 do me fine?

im sure you could get by with that his alts are beasts i put one in a dakota that was 235amps and he ran 4kw on it with just the stock batt up front and the voltage never went below 13.5 at the amp at idle with 1/0 big 3 and to the amp

Wow thats awesome. Makes me question whether i'd really need to buy a 2nd battery, let alone a new one for the engine bay. Maybe I can just try with the alt first and also get a voltmeter and see what happens and if not buy a yellowtop for front and if still then get a 2nd. That sound reasonable to do?

2nd battery doesnt hurt its always nice to have some extra storage i would actually recommended atleast an upgrade up front if not a 2nd in the back

Ok yea theres already some minor minor headlight dimming as it is thats for a quick second when its idling pretty much so i'll get a yellowtop for the front. Its funny cause I thought about it too on the way home and I thought..better safe than sorry. Thanks twoegg and it looks like im buying an alt from nick like you recommended too. Kudos!

Id say realistically with an upgrade upfront you should be A-ok. When I had my stock battery, I was good for about 5-6 minutes playing music without the engine on. After upgrading the battery, im good for the better part of a car wash, but i will turn on the engine a few times here and there just to keep the voltage up. Id start with a new battery upfront and see how that treats you.

Suhweet. I'm gonna have a HO alt also just incase, but yea most definitely i'm gonna change out my battery up front. I dont really have room for a second one in the back anyways so ima cross my fingers that this combination will work..

Pay the extra cash for the alt man and be careful putting 3k to that sub. It gets plenty loud but it is not really made for that. IMO longer lasting sub>>>>overpowering for a shorter life. Plenty of people say that they do it daily, but only few tell actually how and the amount of recones they go through. I did put that sundown 3500 to one and it did fine, but I am cautious about stuff like that so I set the gains to 0 for a better piece of mind. If I do something again I will go for SAZ 3k's.
