should I add the weight to my z06?

just another notch driver?

i'd sure as hell rather be a notch driver than a corvette driver...

not that i'd be caught dead owning either, but there is quite a stigma so far as i'm concerned with both. In fact, my opinion of the average corvette owner is probably what blocks me from really being able to enjoy the cars.

when i went test driving last year i had tons of fun in the early z06s (honestly, can't get close to affording the new ones)- but really just couldn't see myself as one of "those" guys.

I guess my personal style and ego doesn't quite need it (and this is coming from someone with admittedly way too much flashy stuff)

it is simply not hte best sports car under 100k...

however, the cars that are better "sports" cars are completely unliveable and basically unstreetable as well.

to me driving a vette is as repulsive as having a mullet (this is clearly my opinion, and not meant to offend)

With 493 RW HP, You wouldnt notice it. i read quite a few pages of this thread, and its quite hillarious. beautiful vette first of all. In stock form there are very few production cars that can hang, and absolutely none that can do so in the z06 price range. My former boss owns the new shelby mustang, my procharged ws6 can hang. Sure, you can make a faster car, but for a vehicle that is produced in regular production, cant be touched.

JohnyBlayz, is that "Pinchy"? Also I have had alot of dealings with the new Z06's and the GT, as well as one of only 2 TT-GT's. Both cars are badass, dont get me wrong, and Im a big time ford guy, but for the money (from the factory), nothing can touch the Z06. Torrie, my tuner and my buddy, has a 1089 RWHP TT-GT(daily tune), and its plain sick. When I did the last 06 Z06 install, alot of the big time corvette guys on the corvette forum *****ed about the weight that he added, when I did the system. The way I look at it, its his car, he paid for it, he drives it everyday, and he wanted to be happy. He did it for himself and no one else. He never even noticed the weight back there. It actually went off to LG Performance in Texas, and got a nice boost of HP from, LG longtube headers, cam, intake, tune, and exhaust butterfly remote. So to each his own, but I can tell you this, if I could afford a new Z06 I would do a nice big system in it as well, but again, that is me, and its my preference.

well this thread was interesting, didnt think it would go this direction.
johnblayz nice to see you again man we should hang out again. im not your boss anymore so i can party

Good seeing you too man. I think I saw you driving down Airport Road today, do you have a Police Athletic lisence plate?

Not the best but one of the fastest production.

For 27-35k i would not mind having something like this-lo mi, to put a system in to. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

dont turbo the f block.
x2. swap it with an H then boost.
The f block can take a good beating. Provided u make sure the internals are built up for the task

Either way, its not gonna be a fast car, its my daily driver. I want me some torque!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

If I wanted a FAST car I woulda bought one, and stopped goin to college //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

but by the time you've done the internals you could've just had an h long block swap. possibly a k24? they take to turbo's real well. but then you'd have to deal with mounts etc.
