should I add the weight to my z06?

thinking of putting a system into my z06, but am afraid to add the weight. i love beating up on Ford GT's and vipers and dont wanna lose my edge?

What about 1/2" birch box with a pair of 8's? If done properly the whole setup (box and subs) could weigh less than 30-35 pounds.

I wouldn't do any subs. I would get a nice front stage and a 2 channel amp with a small footprint.

I would add the system. In drag racing, every 100lbs is .1 of a second. You're only going to be adding around 60lbs if its a single sub/box/amp setup, so thats 0.06 of a second off the quarter mile.

Aren't stock ford GT's rated for 500 hp?

And don't they cost 3x that of a c6 Z06?
