Should I add a third sub? How much can the old ti take?

I already have 2 15" eclipse ti subs(just the standard model not pro). Now there is 1 on ebay I am considering buying if it goes for a decent price. Would adding a third be worth the cost, or just a waste? Does anyone know what kind of power these can take daily? They are rated at 1500watts rms, but I've read they will take a lot more. What kind of an ohm load options would I end up with 3 3ohm dvc subs?

Thanks for indulging a rambling moron.

Oh am I'm probably going to do a 4th order blow through in a fullsize regular cab pickup.

I have a pair of eclipse da7232s rated @2000 watts each, but looking at maybe doing something different, even if I don't get the third sub.
