2ohm or 4ohm on my SA-12s?

Ok so at the moment I am only purchasing 1 SA-12. However in maybe 2 months or so I am picking up a second along with building it's clone ported box. I am most likely going to purchase a

Hifonics Brutus BRZ1700.1D which is rated (RMS)

600 @ 4 OHMS

1200 @ 2 OHMS

1700 @ 1 OHM

Considering the subs are RATED at 600w RMS, I was thinking if I get the 2ohm version, I can run the single at 600w (4ohms). Then when I add the second sub, run them both down to 2ohms for the shared 600w a piece. OR should get the 4ohm version, overpower the crap out of it (2ohm load) and then when I get the second one, throw them down to 1ohm and they share ~850W a piece? Just trying to figure out the best decision before I purchase them... Again, I can only afford 1 at the moment. (Before getting another, I'd rather upgrade the battery or isolate and add a second :p)

I'd do the 4 ohm. I have never had any but people run them at 1000 daily so just set your gains to either 850 from the start or keep it at 600 if youd like @ 2 ohms.

Get the dual 4 ohms! The amp is rated at 14.4v. You will not get 1200 rms out of your amp because your electrical system will not be perfect. Wire them down to 1 ohm and let them rip. You will probably get 700rms on each sub at 1 ohm.
