should i add a second battery?

im wondering if i should add a 2nd battery in my car or not.. im going to be running around 1000 rms or so to my 16ov.2.

i used to have a hifonics brutus 1200 on my cvxs and i had crazy voltage drop, and i know im going to have a similar amount of power, and seeing as this is my daily driver should i add a 2nd battery like a kinetic? could i upgrade my battery under the hood to a red top or something and be ok? or would it be alright to keep it on the stock battery?

if you did upgrade under the hood you would want a yellow top and not a red top.

have you tried doing the big 3 yet?

whats wrong with a red top? i thought red tops have more cranking amps

red top has more cranking amps but the yellow top has a higher AH. yellow top is the better choice when you have a car audio system that may require large, sudden intakes of power.
