Should drugs be legalized!?

As someone who is not a drug user I think that possession of anything should not be a crime. If you steal or rob or commit any type of crime where there is a victim then the penalties for that should be severe. As long as they don't commit crimes let them do whatever they want to do in the privacy of their own home and thin out the gene pool. It should not be legal in public just as you cant run around with a bottle in public in most places. As a business owner if I want to test and deny you employment based on it I should have that right just as I should be able to not hire you if you are a drinker or a cigarette smoker.

being illegal doesn't stop anyone from getting it if they want it, but my vote is for no

my former good friend had a very nice job as a pepsi route driver and then started using drugs, not sure which one, but within 6 months he lost his job, his 401k and his housing

he then decided it would be a good idea to rob 2 gas stations, got caught and spent 10 months in jail.

he got out and stayed clean for about a month, but then turned back to drugs. that was 6 months ago and i dont know where he is now, but hopefully he just died and put himself out of his own misery

Well I'm in this politics class here at my college and my teacher feels that drugs should be Legal, 100%. He is talking about crack, cocaine, and Marijuana.
What are your opinions and post why you think it should or should not be!

I fully agree with him ...
Responsible adults should be able to make their own decisions and pay the consequences, if any, for their actions should they cause harm unto others or the property of others.

10 months for robbing 2 gas stations? He's fracking lucky man. My judge wants to throw me away for a whole year, just cause i had 6 vicodin w/o a script.....
