so im building a box for a truck that has a 6 inch max mounting depth ( would like to keep it around 5.75 inch) and the guy is on a shoe string budget of 300$. he is looking for decently clean sound and a pretty good thump. i have built about a dozen boxes and havent ever had a customer come back disapointed. that being said ive never done a shallow mount sub. i told him the budget is pretty low and 500$ is more realistic but hes hell bent on 300$ so seeing as how i havent been on this forum in a while do to oschool what do you guys think about the pioneer TSSW251 10 inch. i was thinking of doing a ported box with a flair port at 36htz. any input would be great and sorry for the lack of knowledge the last time i was on here RE audio was making pretty good quality products but now i read that they went to hell wich is a shame.

These are also very good drivers, some of the best bang for the busk on shallow mounts. DD Audio SL610-D2 10"...
