Sexy sub, sexy price, buy it?

At the moment I have a single sealed 1.4 cuber waiting for a new occupant. I have entertained the thought of building a ported box for a 15, perhaps an SE or Icon, but I think i'm going to save that project for later in the summer.

I had pretty much settled on an RSDC124 $150 on OCS, but I just found the Polk SR on sale for this weekend, new, for $190. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif Should I jump on it? My main desire is SPL-slash-SQL (right now my kenwood isn't fitting the bill) but I think I would be just as happy spending the next month or so breaking in an SR. Somebody convince me to pull the trigger!

AMP: Infinity 1600a, 600w @ 2Ω. Will be upgrading eventually, but for now using that.

hmn... the mach5... nice price. huge *** surround though. qts of .69 is maybe a little too high esp if i ever want to plop it in a ported.. feel free to flame if you feel i'm caviling hah

the DC subs... haven't really considered them because they don't sell online (do they?) and their closest dealer is 3 hours away.

you can buy it straight from the site if you email the dude. they have the mach 5 for ported or sealed application i believe.

Typically the surround does move and push air.

alright, so I found 2 rsdc's on the classifieds for $220 shipped. So it's between those and a new SR for $190. How much would it cost for materials to build a dual ported? Gotta figure that in if i decide I want the PGs and somebody else doesn't get them first. And is there an easy way to get money on PayPal using credit card?

maybe i'll email DC too... their specs yield a higher QTC though for the box i'd be using... estimated price of a level 3?
