i was wondering what you guys set you settings at and i mean like the gen eq 1 and gen eq2, what hz you play the subwoofer at, and if you go + or - anything, this deck has alot of setting and im trying to set it, i already set it with the DMM, but i had to put the hz of 50 and 80 to +6 to get my subs to get loud, i have the hifonics bxi2006d to 2 12 L7's, i also have a set of 6.5 in the front but i dont have an amp for the speakers either, any input would be greatly appreciated

As far as the sub goes, 80 hz on the low pass should be fine. You could try 63 to see if it filters out and of the higher freq's and sounds better. You shouldn't have to have the sub on +6 to get it loud. I run mine on 0 and its plenty loud. Just check your gains again once you put it back on 0.

80 must be the Q factor u talkin about for the head unit, the center frequency, put it at the lowest it goes for the low option, should be 40 or 50 hz, u can set it up like that at +6, that's what i did wen i had a pioneer, cuz flat didn't even hit, but i had mine at +6 40 hz Q factor 2W, just mess with the center frequencies till u get the bass u want then use that hz to set ur gain

my .02 cents

There's no q adjustment on the 860's eq. It's just 13 bands.

I would lower he 50hz and 80hz bands down. Re-set your gains with them set at 0. You may introduce a clipped signal to your amps if you raise those bands tha tmuch.

thanks everyone for their input, yea this cd player is awesome it just has alot of different settings...i will lower the 50 and 80 hz down a little and then reset the gains...because when i turn the volume up to liek 30 with those gains up, my speakers sound like they are going to blow...ill have to try and set my gains again, but if i remember correctly when i lowered them down to almost 0, i couldnt get the voltage at the amp i wanted for the gains

i play sub at 50 hz at +5 level and run the eq low at -3, mid at -1 and hi at +2. HPF at 125.
what do you mean low mid and high, on this deck i think theres only gen eq1, gen eq2, subwoofer 1, subwoofer 2....should i mess with the slope or anything at all? on the eq i have it on custom, i have the custom at 0, the 50hz at +6, the 80hz at +5, the 100hz at +2

What does this have to do with this 860mp? You definately havea completely different deck.

What do you have the sub settings at? Whats the low pass set at? The sub level?

I think the eq's are Custom 1, Custom 2, and then a few others, flat, vocal, poweful, natural, superbass.

the sub setting is 80hz and i put it to +6, cause thatshow i had it on my old pioneer deck...the low pass which i think is the one that is in gen eq can have 50hz 63hz, 80hz, i hav ethe 50 hz and 80 hz up a little bit
