how would I go about setting up a car sub for home use added to a Home Theater. I have some JL 12w3s just sitting around doing nothing. So I thought I could use one of them as a home theater sub if possible. also, is there anyway I could wire up a car amp to it in the house???

Get a plate or rack mount home audio amp, put them in an enclosure, and wire the so they don't present a lower resistance than the amp you got for them will handle.
