Setting Pioneer GM-X862 Gain

Sorry if this is a stupid question but....

I just read the 'Setting proper gain tutorial' and my proper gain is 22. I was wondering how to read my gain settings to set it at the proper level. Right now it is just set as what I think sounds the best,which is at about 75% or so.

what do you mean how do you read the gain? you need a test cd and an ac volt meter they explain everything in the JL tutorial.
