why you you want it to peak at 18?

anything higher then volume 25 or so the headunit starts clipping. so anything below that is what i aim when adjusting my gains..

Ive done it once, at the bar picking up my brother, but only because some *** yelled out my car was gay, then I turned it up, but that was when I had my 4 10inch CVR's ported in 5cubic feet tuned to 40hz off a kx1200.1. The car was about 100 feet away and it went off, I don't do that anymore. Sure shut that guy up fast tho.
