setting gain at 1/2 ohm

You're wading into muddy waters when you start doing things outside the intent of the mfg.

Do you know what that amp's capable of at 1/2? You'd have to know with a good degree of accuracy, and know your electrical system will provide stable power to set the gain with a DMM with any accuracy.

4kw? sqrt(4000 x 0.5)

5kw? sqrt(5000 x 0.5)

Does it even GAIN power at

Well I know people run these amps at 1/2 daily with no problems so your saying I will not gain a noticeable difference from 1 ohm to 1/2 ohm?

Sundown will run .5ohm just fine... if u have the electrical to back it up you will prly see a 1-2db gain at most.

Wow that's it ,so not really at big enough gain to take the risk, I have electrical to back it up I thought the wattage gain would be great enough to notice a huge difference

with imp rise it should be a considerable difference....1-2db is a solid improvement
lol yeah maybe for competition but for a daily driver thats not much as i was hoping i wanna do a 4th order but i hate losing my truck bed

Oh I'd love to have much more power that's why I was hoping 1/2 ohm would get me alot more I'd like to see what the saz3500 dyno's at 1 ohm and 1/2 ohm
