Setting crossover(s) for components.

Well, I figured I would put this here since wiring is an important part of this & the reason for the question. I bought a set of OZ ME180CS comps and a Diamond Audio D3 400.4 amp, but here is the issue at hand. I will be running this off my Alpine iVA-D900, which has a 3 way active crossover system built into it.

Now, the question is this....since I will be running the DA amp bridged at 200x2 @ 4ohms, I will have to use the passive crossover to protect the comps set. Now, should I set the crossover in my Alpine to filter sub bass frequencies, or just let the crossover handle the entire signal & filter what it is set to filter?

i would always manually set that if possible. and try to keep all your crossover settings to 1 unit. sometimes if u put a HP on through the HU, it will override settings on the amp. but an external xover should override all of that.

if i sound like i dont know what im talking about, then just disregard me =P

So the external x-over for the oZ comps should override the amp & the HU?
