sending dc sub to be reconed?has anyone

I actually broke the tip of my finger trying to drop the sub back into the box after my amp died. I thought one of my wires came loose in the box dropping my impedance down to where the amp would go into protect. Turns out one of the output transistors burnt out on the amp. When I went to drop 60+ pounds back in the baffle my index finger got caught. Had to wear a splint for a month. Thanks Slim.
Whoa, thats creepy. My amp was trash when I got the box finally up the stairs, bought his amp, it popped on the way home. Had blood all over the sub and box from where I busted my finger screwing the sub in.

Slim, I now think you are lucky. All these accidents and not one to you lol

I popped my "poke a hole through the surrounds" cherry that night. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Whenever I'm screwing my subs back in I *Always* steady my right arm with my left hand. I refuse to ruin my surround.

Oh and yes, I am the sundown amp guy lol.

EDIT:Just realized we totally thread jacked the hell out of this thread...sorry?

poked a couple holes through one myself last week. Fortunatly I never did it until I learned how to recone my own woofers so if I really care or if it fails prematurely I can fix it cheap (oh yeah, OP should buy the dropin and do it himself)

I felt like shit cus I just sold it to 01limited like 5 mins before lol.
He originally had a great deal on an 18 but then got a discount because of my clumsy cherry popping ass.
Dude, I was more worried about getting it up the stairs after I paid you. I was like Ffffffuuuuuuuu I'm going to drop this lol. I just used the discount and scooped your amp, which spooney offered a great deal to fix, but I just have had zero money for the build and I dont know if thats still available. I just want my jeep back =( lol

Kinda wonder why no one has come up with a better way to mount subs lol
