Sa 8" build, opinions wanted!

I wanted it tuned a tad low so I went with 32hz, box is .75ft^3.

port specs are as follows, 1.5" wide, 8" tall, and 39" long.

Don't triple check yourself, the box isn't made from 3/4" mdf, instead I am using 1/2" because I wanted to play with the fiberglass and bedliner and with the two I seen no need for 3/4" wood.

Is this a v.2? Even if its v.1 go ahead and tune it a little higher and save yourself some room and some port length. There is no need to tune that low with these subs. They will have no problems getting low at a 35hz tuning. Hell I had one still sounding decent in a 40 hz tuned box.

personally due to lack of cone area i'd tune lower for da lowz.

Exactly, I had a good friend once explain to me... Tuning lower will make you feel it more. Rather than have it really loud and do good on a meter. And I am going for an 8 that hits some nasty lows ;] Me and my friend actually have a bet that an 8 cant hit low nor can it hit harder than a jl audio wov3 12" lol... So I'm gonna try and prove him wrong. Very wrong, But the sizing and port area seems pretty optimal?

I metered a sa8v2 in .75 tuned to 34hz and it had no prob getting low, it played near flat, within +/-1db from about 27hz to the mid 50s in a newer Subaru Legacy. Its ok to tune higher, you can still reach the lows.

3inch aero would work best, but you still need 18 1/2 inches of length to get a 35hz tune in .75cu/ft

And I would highly advise against 1/2mdf, that stuff splits extremely easy, even when you predrill the screw holes.
