don't think of it as overpriced, just think of it as expensive

considering what the W7 can do, its price is reasonable. and for once people, stop comparing the W7's retail price to other brand's sales price

Let me raise a poll-like question...12w7 can be found for $500...Brahma 12 is $370...XXX is in same neighborhood...is the JL worth the extra $130? And I don't believe you can get a warranty on the JL for $500...but I may be wrong there...but is that $130 more really worth it?

if you have over 1000 watts RMS, then sure. the W7's suspension is what sets it apart from other drivers.

yup. i'm all about SQ. SQ is my top priority. W7's have SUPER DUPER EXTREMELY LOW power compression. til this day, i have never seen a subwoofer convert as much of the amp's watts into acoustic watts before. the shiva will handle up to 650 watts RMS thermally, but after 450 watts, you're not going to see any or hardly anything at all, because of it power compression. with the W7, you can dump more into it and it won't give you the slightest distortion. it just keeps on going and going until you reach its thermal/mechanical limits. the W7 is just an amazing sub. its not believable until you hear it in a correct install. i have own many subs, and i can say the W7 is the best SQ sub i have ever heard.
