Resting Voltage??????

Just got my new batt in and it was charged and testing at 12.7 but 30 hours later I get the batt and it read 11.6 or so???

I have it on a 6amp batt charger right now to see if it will hold a decent charge above 12.5 or I dnt want it. Gonna load test it also I think it has an issue. Whats ur guys thoughts??

do you have a constant current charger to put it on? what battery is it? normally, i like to see them come off the charger at over 13v

that dosn't sound right even this kinetik hc600 that i got yesterday, manufacture date is over 2 years ago and the resting voltage is still 13.07 was bnib.

bad bat brah. i was tempted to buy a spv70 in my area, dude charged it to 12.8, overnight dropped to 11.xx. something going wrong inside there.

Should be reading better than that.Charging with battery cables with the vehicle for about 15 min,I know gas isnt cheap, but neither is that battery.Id try that out.You could have a bad charger too??

please only knowledgable people chime in because this was my old batt i sold to him and i know 100% it was good it just wasnt charged for a while. If anyone knows about deep cycle batteries then they know that they can be depleted all the way down to almost 4 volts on some batteries and be "deep cycled" back up by putting them on a trickle charge of 2-5 amps for 1-2 days.

i dont want some retard saying "oh its bad cuz it rest low" if they have no idea about deep cycling. no need to scare him hes already weary of me now probly lol

Hell..put it in the car and go for about an hour drive, and charge that joker up, and dont stop..Get on the highway,even.That should make a big difference??

load test it and see, if its not holding a charge its probably no good

actually not true,sorry josh,anything 12 volts and over is usually fine.put it on the charger dennis for 24 hours and load test it or let it sit another day or two ,then check the voltage.if under 12 after all this or load test's under 12 then it could be bad.

yes, that is what you are tought about genaric lead-acid battery. deep cycle batteries need a little different charging methods, hence the 2a constant current charge
