Replace door speakers for horns?

I'm upgrading to nightshade v.3 18 in 2 weeks and want nice loud vocals. I'm considering using about 4-8 horn/speakers because I can't find loud 6x8s that's just loud with no nasty bass. My question is, have anyone ever did only horns and got good clear vocals because I need considerations because the only ones I can find is boss, pyramid, pyle, etc. I can't find name branded horns

Use pro audio speakers instead. What you are looking for is high sensitivity.

my bad, i wasnt really serious lol it'd be around $500 for both drivers and horns, they're pretty rare. you'd need something to cover the 80-1khz region though so it gets complicated quick, better off with what jeff recommended

I have horns in my door was not easy. Tweeters are not to bad they are not to deep the upper mid from 2k-5k is 8in mounting depth. Then I have a 10 covering 80-2k took a lot to tune it all but sounds decent and gets loud. I'm going to be adding 2 6.5 crescendo pwx per side at the b pillar for rear fill lowpassed at 2k . The crescendo pwx sound alright was not a fan of the ft-1 though found to to be harsh at moderate volume and up.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have 6x8 on my 00 mustang and with these cars its almost impossible to get 6x5 or 6x9 in the doors. I tried Rockford 6x5s last yeat, was a no go with adapters

have wooden baffle adapters.

6x8s are usually mostly junk
