Pioneer head units

Hello I had a pioneer Head unit in my truck I think I blew it up So now I'm trying to put another Pioneer head unit in my truck I should just be able to connect the wires in the back And it should come on Is my question?

The harness for the wiring plugs right into the back of the Pioneer I'm trying to install And I plug in the antenna Turn my truck on but nothing happens anybody have any thoughts on the situation for me please

Just to clarify: You've removed your Pioneer HU and unplugged the harness from the radio. You've connected a different pioneer HU to the harness that was left in the truck that went to the previous pioneer. Is that right?

Just because the plugs work together doesn't mean the wiring goes to the same thing. You could be sending 12v+ to one of the speaker outputs and not realize it. Do you not have the harness for the pioneer you're trying to install?

Sent from my Motorola 2950 Special Edition 3w.
