recieved sub now need help on building box!

i just recieved my power acoustik fubr 1800 watt 10" sub and i need help on building the box....it says that for a ported a box i need 1.15 cu. ft.....and for a sealed box i need .5 cu. ft.......and i was also wondering what would be better? i will have a jbl 1200.1 amp pushing it....any help would be appreciated.....Jr.
