Yup, like I said, their upper products, the SX on up are solid drivers and the MX and XXX have some sweet tech, just way too rich for my blood when something that can accomplish the same thing can be had for cheaper. I am an SQ guy as you can probably tell, lol, so for me right now the perfect driver will be the new Stereo Integrity Mag.

stop everything but the MT?
okay
I said they are talking about stopping ONLY the SX. Before they starting moving to California back a few months ago (around April) the RE, SR, SE & new SL were all built in China. Now, they are having the MX built in China also and ONLY the MT & XXX will be assembled in the U.S. and on the MT, only the Voice Coil will be made in the US. All of the other parts are made in China. Also Scott (Owens) is the guy that has the Pioneer truck (he does not own Fi). Scott (owner of Fi) was the main engineer behind all of the products RE has currently except the new SL and the reason that Fi's products are cheaper is that Scott is selling the products at dealer price straight to the public. Actually, RE and Fi are at the same price but, RE sales to dealer then they mark it up to make their profit. For the end user, Fi is cheaper, but actually they are the same price to start with.

funny they are gonna halt production on everything and they JUST came out with a brand new line of slim line subs.
audioinformer, what brand are you running?>

im sure somewhere something you have was made in china,. that dont mean such bad things brother...
I have owned many, many different subwoofers, speakers, components, and so on. Made in Germany, U.S., China, Brazil, Italy, France, and so on....

Right now, the subs I am running are made here in the US (I will not mention the name just yet) the components are AD (hand built in Italy) the class A amp on the component is a hand built Celestra (also made in Italy) and the amp on the subs are Stetsom (made in Brazil).. Although, the head unit is made in China and the car is from Japan!!

I am not really worried that the new RE subs are built in China. Just thought that people should know since they push "Engineered in the U.S." and they used to be "Built in the U.S." because there is a "Difference" !!

I haven't read this thread. Seriously, I haven't.

I just wanted to say that David at RE is a total prick.

He smells too.

At every meet I've been at with David he always beats me up. Punk. I'm learning kung-fu so I'll be ready for him next time.

Haha, I don't know if you're serious about the prick part or just making a joke and are actually friends with him.

Oh, I forgot to mention to never give your phone number to him. He'll give your phone number to hookers and have them call you. Jerk.

LOL!
**** Nick, it sounds like he hates you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
