RE Audio company are a bunch of morons

funny they are gonna halt production on everything and they JUST came out with a brand new line of slim line subs.

audioinformer, what brand are you running?>

im sure somewhere something you have was made in china,. that dont mean such bad things brother...

since no one has said it yet..

I heard fi has a website //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

AND, they have speakers for sale on it!

Meh, RE doesn't have anything particularly impressive in their lineup anymore anyway. The XXX is cool as a proof of concept but for its size and cost it is an underperformer. The MT is bested by the BTL and the BTL is cheaper. The MX is a decent sub, loud with good SQ, but I have heard many people complain about mechanical noise from them. The other drivers are just not impressive at all. Overall I'd say the last compelling product RE had was the 05 XBL^2 XXX.

who says that the MT was "Bested" by the BTL?

I never messed with the bew style XXX or the MX, but yes, the proof of concept was really cool.

nothing impressive though?

thats like saying JL doesnt have anything impressive in their lineup anymore, just because some newer cheaper products came out.

might not be the best on the block all around anymore, but they still do have an impressive lineup.

is the BTL different? sure, but when you have to "upgrade" your sub to make it "Better" than something that comes the way it comes without any extra charges/fees, then it cant clearly be better than its counterpart.

I believe even a fully loaded BTL is cheaper than an MT. Also, its not necessarily upgrading, it's tailoring the sub to fit your demands, if you want SPL but don't need any of the extra stuff why pay more for it when it will be wasted? And JL also does not impress me, there are drivers with more excursion than the W7 for less and with better SQ than the W6 for less. As much as JL and RE have really cool and advanced tech, if you can do the same or better for less, the advanced tech just looks like fluff.

depends on where you get it, to be honest, i dont know how much they cost.

if you are "Designing" the sub to fit your needs, and worried of wasted potential for the BTL, why not go for something a little smaller like the BL?

im just curious

True, personally I would never touch any of those 3, the BTL, BL or MT. I just have to say that since Scott (Owens I think) designed both the MT and the BTL why would he let his previous design be better than his new design? To me that logic works, lol.

That being said, dont be mistaken by the Team RE in my sig, I recently sold my RE Equipment to upgrade from MT's
I don't care either way, I will argue with anyone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Good point

Its all about change, options. Such a huge market though.
