ran into a major problem

okay so I build a 9.2 cubic ft box and the port is underneith like slot port and its 35.5 inches wide and 4inch high i was looking for a 37hz tuning and the port length being 18.75 inches long i wasnt thinking and just cut a 18.75 inch long peice put it in there and now where the port goes from the actal port to the subwoofers that is only 2.75 inches whats the outcome going to be?

Can this be re-written in English standard as opposed to run-on-ese? Not trying to be a jerk, but I really can't comprehend what exactly you are asking, nor can I visualize your box in order to help you.

okay lol sorry about that I was typing it on a ipad, now im on a computer. Now pretty much what Im saying is that my port started of at 4 inches, where it actally goes into the enclosure its only 2.75, what is gonna be the outcome is the tuning just gonna be way of or am I gonna have to see whats gonna happen?

if you wanted a port that's 18.75" long and your port ended up being 2.75" then yes, your tuning will be "way off", qualitatively.

so port is 4" wide, but where the port ends it's only 2.75" from the wall of the box. cut the port shorter so it's got 4" of space. Not worth doing a short "L" at the end of the port IMO. Also if taking into account "end factor" then your port will extend 2" beyond it's physical length, so you should be fine.

In effect, it will actually be an L port since you stop the port width from the back wall.
