does it really make a difference whether you wire 2+ subs as a 2 ohm load or a 4 ohm load, is there any clarity difference, do they hit harder? anything?

question number 2, i know when you wire in parallel resistance is divided by the number of resistors in parallel (subs), and the wattage is like added or something like that, if you run subs in a series, the resistance adds, but what about the power handling? lets say you have 2, 4ohm 10"s with a rms of 300w in parallel = 2 ohm 600wrms, and series would give you 8ohm but at what wattage?
