Im using 0 gauge wire with big 3 done in 0 gauge. I've always heard to fuse the same rating as your wire. I'm using Knu Kolossus Fleks (375a rating).

the amp im using is a DD C2 (2 x 40a fuses) at 8 ohms on two subs (~ 50 watts a piece)

Is it okay to run a 200a fuse with this setup?

want to use the combined fuse rating for the amps. so you have (2) amps with 50amp fuses a piece? 50+50=100 so use a 100 amp fuse for the inline fuse. you are trying to protect the amps, not just the wire. if you go way above what the amps will be drawing, there is a better possibility for the amps to get damaged.

sorry, read wrong. you only have one amp? just use a fuse that is equal to the fusing of your single amp

Always fuse for the wire.
im pretty sure the amp is worth more money than the wire...
