Just because they are the same wattage does not mean that they have the same specs. For instance two different brands of speakers with the same wattage will operate in two different sized spaces. Some work better in ported boxes and some work better in enclosed boxes. It is always best to use the same brand and make of sub to get the greatest output.

T/S parameters change between subs. They can actually cause cancelation.

You seriously just need to do some research. 15 Minutes on here and you'll find that sony stuff in general is probably some of the worst audio equipment you can buy.

Actually, anything that probably applies to anything you can find at walmart...

Do some searching. I gaurantee you can find subs that will be twice as loud as those xplods and sound 10x better. Sell that junk on craigslist to some other noob.

But if you absolutely must keep the sony. Set your gains, and build your own box. People new here don't realize how important the box is in your setup- it's going to determine how loud and what your sub is going to sound like.
