Questions regarding power coax/components power ratings

Hello,

When manufacturer's list the RMS and max rating for a seat of speakers, are the ratings for both or just 1 speaker.

For example, company a lists the RMS rating for their components at 90 watts and Max at 270 watts. Is it 90 watts per speaker or is that for both, 45 per speaker?

That's for each speaker individually. Also just an FYI, don't pay any attention to the "peak" or "max" ratings, they are useless, always use the "rms."
