Im just a day to day driver and i was thinking of getting a kicker solo x. i probably will not go to any compotitons with it. would this be a waist of money? cuz i think they are probably for comp use mainly.

90% of the solo 10x's and 12'x we sell are used in street systems.....they make a great SPL street sub, but are very power hungry...so plan to add the power, and upgrade electrical to back that up.

If you plan to only run 1,000 watts, then regular L7's will do fine.
