I was doing a dry build of sub enclosure yesterday and I decided to see how the kreg jig would work on some scraps. I wasn't able to find a bit long enough and small enough to pre drill and the wood split. My question is can I use"L" brackets instead and how good would they work? Second question what sealer to use? I'm not going to be able to seal the top panel because I will have to put my subs in when I put the front baffles on and I will not be able to get to the top inside corners what should I do?

Are you talking about the corner pocket jig? As far as sealing I have always wondered the same thing. There is always one piece that I can never seal so I always put extra glue on that section. I use Titebond II and put a shitload on it.

you should be able to reach the inside of the panel from the speaker cut out. I use silicone to seal, now I'm using a black silicon b/c I find that it's easier to tell what spots I missed. the top or bottom should be the last piece of the assembly, that would allow you to easily get to the corners once the speaker hole is cut.

There's really no need to seal it from the inside if you have halfway decent cuts and put a solid bead of glue on all of your joints.

Thats good to know because I always get the caulk everywhere trying to fit it into every corner. I always have straight cuts so that is never really a problem.
