Questions about porting?

I have 2 12" Alpine type R dual 4 ohm vc subs. My question is can I run these with round ports instead of slotted without any issue?

Port shape doesn't really matter. Just make sure it's big enough for the amount of air you're pushing and tuned correctly to get the intended frequency response.
