How did you guys keep your enclosure from moving around in your trunk?

I was thinking maybe velcro would work but I'm not sure.

Also

I've heard that im not supposed to mount my hifonics amp on my box because people have had problems with them overheating and blowing up on them due to them being mounted on boxes..

So where else should i mount it and how?

Thanks in advance

mount the amp to the back of the seat? thats' always a favorite, or make a mdf wall on one side of your trunk. and the spare tire cover should be a dense wood compound. a couple screws toe nailed through the box at a 45 into the wood floor would help. but velcro would probably do just as well. probably stick well to your trunk carpet.

If you have a trunk, velcro is... okay. If the enclosure is in the same space as passengers, such as an SUV, screw the box down. You dont want it flying around in a wreck. People die every year from getting the back of their skull crushed from speaker boxes. Dont become a statistic.

Mounting the amp to the box is fine in most cases. The only realistic problem you might experience is the added vibrations could cause problems with internal components in the amp. Ive never had this problem, but if you are worried, mount some rubber grommets between the amp and box to work as vibration dampeners. Mounting the amp to the box wont cause any over heating issues.
