Questions about BOSS amps...

Has anybody here dealt with BOSS amps? Are they reliable or a POS? Im looking for either 1 powerful amp or two smaller amps to power both of my 15" Kicker L7s. I was looking at the BOSS amps reviews on cardomain and saw that the people that owned them are very happy with them. I also searched and found on other sites that people like their price and they perform good. Could you guys help me and give me suggestions or comments?...

POS, don't waste your time/money

OK thanks. What do you recommend? My subs are DVC 2. Im looking for something cheap (in price) but reliable. I was looking to purchasing two viper 1200.1 or orion 2500d. I currently have 1 Audiobahn a1300hct and was going to purchase another one so I can have both subs running at 1ohm but there seems to be a problem with my system (dont know if its the amp or what).

Well what do you have the speakers wired down to? 2 ohms or .5 ohms? My guess is there is an impedance problem...

Right now I have the single sub im running at 2ohms. I'll run at whichever, 2ohms or .5ohms. I just want to get atleast 1000rms out of each sub.

Not sure whats wrong with it. The amp is suppose to light up blue when I turn the car on and stay lit blue (where the VU meter is). Now it only lights up red and it only lights up red when I turn on the car and then just shuts down.

Im running stock speakers for now. The car is 2005 ford expedition Eddie Bauer Edition. The sub is wired at 2ohms.

Everything you see here lit in blue now lights red and then it just shuts down.

ive gotta hand it to audiobahn... they make some cool lookin' stuff. But anyway, it seems just about every review on sounddomain is positive, more than likely because someone bought it as their first amp and was impressed because they didn't know better. BOSS isnt really worth looking into.

Yeah thats why I bought it. I wanted something that looked nice and wasn't a POS. As for as I had known Audiobahn was a good brand. Now im being told they ****.

I have nothing against their amps. They make solid ones. But their subs arent to my liking...

if your running only a single DVC 2 sub in a parallel connection, you are running the amp at 1 ohm... which may be your problem. Is the audiobahn stable to that low of an impedance?

I am running the sub at 2ohms, only pushing 600watts rms from the amp. Yes, this amp is capable of running at .5 ohm! I was planning on running it at 1ohm that way I would be getting 1200 watts rms to each sub (when i get the other amp for the other sub).
