Problem with new AQ 1200

check your RCAs. Try flipping them around or try a new set. check that the master/slave switch is in the master position. check that the remote gain is turned off. check that you are getting an output signal from the amo with your dmm. and check to make sure your subs arent wired out of phase

I talked to mike from AQ just a few min ago if you have any questions just pm me.

You talked to him about my situation? The only question I really have is,what could be wrong with the amp since nothing looks bad and it was fine before I got it and it still puts out some just have to turn all the settings up.

who did u get the amp from?
Id rather not say at the moment. If the seller reads this he can say if he wants.

Ive tried everything, trust me its the amp. My other amp works just fine with the same wiring,RCAs,settings, etc.

ok guys i think this is a voice coil phase situation because i'm now having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM BUT WITH AN AQ2200... switched amps from a memphis pr1.1000 to the AQ2200 and BAM! very little response from the sub. barely plays with the gain way up... how our situations are identicle is that i also changed my VC wiring from 2 to 8ohms (going to bridge it and drop impedance to 4 ohms). and this is happening with a temporary DB drive PLWD412, not the DC lvl 4 in my sig... do you have to go through VC #1 FIRST when wiring the voice coils in series?

OK JUST FIXED YOUR PROBLEM IN MY SITUATION..... take your sub out of the box, and switch the order of your voice coils...

in other words -

DO AN EXACT FLIP FLOP OF YOUR WIRING ON YOUR SPEAKER TERMINALS... am i making sense? take the power input from your speaker wire from the current terminals to the other ones!

fixed my problem and now BOOM BOOM BOOM BABY!

Why would that matter tho? If my sub is working fine with my other amp then why would any other amp be different? I understand what you are saying but it just doesnt seem like that should matter.

Just one a 15" Ascendant Audio Havoc.

Im almost positive its the amp. Waiting on the seller to get back to me about sending it to AQ

It will cost you about $15-20 to ship I would guess, using retail ups pricing. You would need to fill out the RA form on the website first though. Their amp guy picks up amps on tue/thur and works through them in the order they come in.

If you fill out the RA form, just be sure to add in the notes area to be contacted prior to any thing being repaired.
