Problem with new AQ 1200

Do you have enough power going back to your amp? second battery? I am having this issue to with another amp but it's due to me not having a battery in the back..My battery in the front can't keep up with th power the amp is wanting to pull..
The DMM says the amp is getting plenty of power. I do only have KNU KLMX 4ga with an 80amp fuse, but I dont think thats the problem.

Never heard of ANY amp having to have the gain knob or bass knob plugged in to have it working if that was the case with your old amp then there was already issues with it.
No my old JBL amp wasnt like that. As a matter of fact I didnt use the knob at all with the JBL. I didnt have a need for it,it already sounded great.

I dont understand tho, the person I bought it from has tons of good feedback and refs. I wouldnt think he knew about this but I didnt do anything wrong to it. I hooked it up and it was like this. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

This just ***** cuz I really dont have the money to ship it back to AQ and pay to have it repaired. If I wanted a broken amp I woulda looked for one but I was told this amp was 100% working condition.

It may have been damaged during shipping. Shipping shouldn't be much, but you will be with out the AQ for bit though. His tech can find out if it was a shipping issue, if so then you and the seller can figure it out from there.

This thing was packed really good tho. It had layers and layers of packing peanuts covering the entire amp. It was packed better than Ive seen a lot of things. And the box didnt look like it was dropped or anything like that. I have the worst luck.

My 2200 looked mint when it showed up at my door. However, it was far from it. The AQ amp tech said it looked like it was thrown down off a truck or something. No packaging damage or anything though.

Well I unhooked the AQ and put the JBL back in. Sub sounds great with the JBL. Anyways I decided to inspect the AQ a little more. Everything looked fine except for this, this in the pic didnt look right.

All settings, wiring and RCAs are fine.

On second look at the amp that pic is just black wires I thought it was something burnt lol
