ok trying to find out which of these amps puts out the most true power? only going to be running 14.4v tops but running dual 200a alts 1/0 ga and dual optimas so voltage will stay up pretty good. so i just need to know at that voltage, which of these amps puts out the most true power. dont have the cash to spend over 300 so trying to get the most power for the money and i dont want to look in the classifieds because i dont like buying used stuff. any help will be great. thanks

I just ordered a hifonics brz2400.1d after looking at the hfi2500. google hfi2500 , you will see many post of it being way overrated. You can get the brz2400 under $300 . the 5500 are severely overrated, not sure how much they actually put out.

from the new Hfi i own. I would say to get the brz2400. The protection of the hfi isnt as good as the brz's. For speaker shorts and what not.

well the cheapest i found the brz2400 is 348 so thats a lil out of my price range.i know its only 50 more but the budget i have is under 300 so it has to be under 300. if there are any other amps that anyone knows of that put out near what these amps claim to put out then lmk. i need at least 2000w. thanks

also make sure you are budgeting for 1/0 wire as well as an additional battery at least for 2000+ rms

so you spent the money on DUAL ALTS but dont have money for a quality amp that will use them? makes no sense. why not just sell one alt and buy a more quality amplifier.

The "BAMF" 5500 puts out far less than an AQ2200. This I assume because of a direct change out on an 18" BTL.

yea i already have 1/0 ga wire in the truck and 2 regular batteries but they are getting switched in a few weeksa to optimas. my father in law works for us battery and gets em brand new for $38 each if they have a scratch on em. ill take 2 please. haha. and i have a s10 so im getting a gm made alt. that came factory on some of their 5.3 and 6.0 trucks and suvs that put out 145a constant even at idle and can put out 200+cold at running rpms. cant remember the exact part number right now but found out about it on s10forum.com so gonna hit up the local junkyards and get 2 of em. so $60 for dual high output gm factory made alternators isnt much money then with the 1/0 that i have and the 2 optimas my electrical system will be good enough. im also running all of this for the suspension because the truck is bagged and body dropped so i have dual compressors out back and with all the electrical for the suspension then the system electric fan lights and soon to be aftermarket heat setup i will need a good electrical system and this should do it. but with a new baby money for projects is tight so thats why im trying to buy on a budget. i have $350 to buy a sub amp and a mid/high amp

Mine accepts 2awg at least, reads ~8.8mm for the hole, which is ~.5mm larger than my DSC1500.1

Hey thanks 4x4runner for the coupon code. I used the code and I'm goin to order the brz2400 and the zxi40 for my mids and highs. So I went over budget by $40 total but for both amps I can't beat it. Thanks for the help and suggestions. And on that coupon code, can u only use it once?

I'm not sure , someone else sent me the code, i think i saw it is good until feb 24th. I am planning on getting the matching 2 channel later on or maybe that 4 channel. My brz is on the truck for delivery today,they shipped incredibly fast.
