Problem with 12ga wire for sub...

Here is a pic of my problem. I just wired my sub 1 ohm with 12ga wire and i cant fit the wires from my box terminal in with them... Does anyone have a solution? I could solder on a piece of wire onto the two wires but that's sloppy.

If I ever have a situation like that, I just cut about half of the wire strands off of each side, then just twist them together and put them in the terminals(should be the same size as normal 12ga).

twist the strands on each as tight as you can then put them in there carefully

I did that, and the tips of them barely make it in but it hangs OUT.. I think i need to cut the strands a little bit and twist em together.

ya twist them together and try again.

Connect them two together with a butt connector and add a single wire to the sub
