Powering My System...A Lil Help Plz

So I've decided on my my new amp and subs:

The subs are going to be 2 RE SX 15's with an orion 2500d (2500w RMS) amp

I also have a 600 watt amp running my front and rear components

So my question is.....if i upgrade my alternator to this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7989314437&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

And get an additional battery (optima yellow top) to power both amps and my HU would that be enough power or do i need anything else or a more powerful version of any of those things?....I probably wont be playing my system very much, if at all, with the engine off

Any input would be appreciated...Thanx //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

In my opinion you shouldn't try to fix a problem that you do not know you have. Go ahead and do your install. If you see that your electrical system is not up to the task, make upgrades as needed. I would start with the big three as it is the least expensive and will enhance any other electrical upgrade. Next would be the alternator. If you aren't doing engine off listening an extra battery will most likely do little good.

with my 1200 watt PG amp that i have running my subs now it already goes into protection because of a low voltage condition and causes alot of interior and exterior dimming which is why i'm thinking ahead this time.... and wouldnt the optima yellow top be able to give more power than the battery i have under my hood?

I woulndt go with that alt anyway, look for something in the 200amp rage, for a set up like that you might need it...
i was looking for one but the alt i have listed above is the highest one i could find for my car.....and i dont really have the money to get one specially built....i've heard it cost round $600....if u know where i could find one in taht range for my '98 jeep grand cherokee that is reasonably priced please let me know

n thanx both of u for ur help....this board is much faster at responding than the one i was on before i found this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
