I almost did that. When researching I found there wasn't a high demand and changed majors to Mechanical Engineering. How has the field worked for you? I won't get into pay specifics, but I do well for myself.
I've always loved building and designing architecture. From a very young age even, story be told that I designed a replica of the sears tower out of legos when I was 4. But I was also very Mechanically inclined from a young age, from building car engines with my dad to making functions robots out of lego thingys (It was supposed to be some pneumatic type toy, I make a walking function robot that picked up things, I think it was supposed to be a walking dog? I vaguely remember building it, I was like 6 or 7).
