Credit longevity (when you opened your first loan, credit card, utility payment records, etc) and having a clean record are 2 important parts. Lots of places will ask about current income as well so if you have none it could be hard to be approved

If I want to build credit buy stuff and pay it off on time without missing payments... My credit is perfect. Got a credit card at 18.. Only used it for gas and paid it off every week.that built alittle credit to get a loan for a truck. Paid the truck off and got enough credit to buy my first house at age 20... Now I'm almost 27 with credit still building. Never missed a single payment on anything.

Nah, I still have to pay for the things I buy.

I used Lexington law to dispute some stuff on my credit, got me up a 100 points. It is a monthly payment deal, you could do the same stuff for free if you have the time. Look online for dispute letters and dispute everything.

i was told if you file bankruptcy you get all your bad credit erased...

it's not that hard really, just put a few hundred a month (that you can 110% afford, never forget to pay on time or let the interest accumulate) on to a 0% intro APR card and pay it off regularly. Open a checking and savings account at a bank to diversify what you have, and consider putting your name on as many bills as possible - electric, gas, and other necessities like insurance are more likely to get recognized by the credit bureau.

it's really stupid but having large loans on cars or houses increases your score provided you pay on time. but here's the catch, if you're smart and pay off the loan your score will drop due to less diversity.
