Maybe you should do a 2.5 way design. I don't know if I would be that comfortable bringing the Planar that low. But, I've never heard them so I don't know. No, but I thought bringing the tweeter down as far as I could would be best for the MMTMM design.
Definitely enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Lots of nice systems in this thread.
Oh indeed. Solid and sounds sweet and clean.Agree 100% As long as you are happy with what you have then all is good.
I have loved my Yamaha. Nothing really fancy or over the top, but it performs well for what I paid.
This is going to blow away your friends Yamaha. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifmy friend has a yamaha he got from bb. it was only like 300 but it sounds pretty good for something that cheap.
i have always liked yamaha stuff. never disappointed me.
Something with Duct Tape?woooooot.
i just bought that yamaha receiver.
and it is perfect timing cause im getting 2 100w yamaha subs with built in amps.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifGood call on the Yamaha. I'm using one that was packaged in with a HTIB. Thing has more features than I even have the equipment/room placement for right now. Plus, with good, non HTIB speakers hooked up, gets loud and sounds good enough for me.
I definitely want to upgrade though. I've tasted a bit of the seperates/better than average speaker set ups and want to go balls to the wall.
And to joe and IamDeMan, are you guys slightly bi-polar? You guys rip on the kid's stuff, then say "if it sounds good to you, it's all good" Or am I missing a memo about hazing people? No offense, but you guys leave me wondering sometimes.
Nope. How much do you want for the maggies?Someone call? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

interesting but out of my budget.
I do have a pad, but did't use it. It ended up mating very well in output with the 4 TBs. Well, I could stay at 3k and just make it a 3rd or 4th order. This is why I haven't made one yet lol. I need to speak to others with more experience using this tweeter.Maybe you should do a 2.5 way design. I don't know if I would be that comfortable bringing the Planar that low. But, I've never heard them so I don't know.
Are you running a PAD on the tweeter? How close do you think it is to it's "rated" sensitivity?
Indeed. My 703 will easily fill my apartment. Come in handy when I clean.
What is the model, age, and condition of them?350$ shipped will get them to your front door by UPS. In reality it is only like 220$+ shipping.
Its an amazingly good deal for how good they sound.
