In my neighborhood I wouldn't stand out if I bumped up to my house. I am home tops 3 hours a night and I hear at least 3 to 5 people a night bumping at the stoplight outside my house. No exageration here.

On an unrelated note, Common - Resurrection is the greatest rap album ever made. Even better on LP. You get a little warmth and underground feel that a CD doesn't have.

x2..............almost. It is better than anything before of after that, but not of all time. I still pop it in every now and then. Nuttin to do is what Chicago was back in the late 80s, early 90s

But on the subject, I prefer my music loud in the car, outside is just for show. I go more for quality.

The way I feel about it is this: I put a lot of time and money into designing, planning, and purchasing an audio setup. I want it to sound good inside my car, and that's it. I couldn't care less if the people outside my car can hear it, or how it sounds to them. It wasn't their cash and time that went into building my setup. Being able to hear the music outside is just a byproduct.

And, OP, if you are using a sound system to call attention to yourself and to "show off", then you are part of the reason the average citizen complains about loud stereos, and you are part of the reason why there are fines for playing music too loud.

X2

its 27 to 270 right now, ten times the amount of people would rather not draw attention. Including me.

those 27 should just gorilla glue some 6x9 on their roofs and run them off a clean hundred a channel amp, and do external ports from their subs that poke through the sheet metal. Nah Im just messign with you guys, if you paid for it, you can have it however you want.

You can have it however you want as long as it isn't making people annoyed and upset. I build loudspeakers for me or whoever is purchasing them. I don't expect nor want them to open up their windows and blast their music so the neighbors can hear their new stereo. Same concept applies to vehicles. If you want and the key word is want people to hear your stereo, you should reconsider ow much of an ******* that is especially when listening to profane or otherwise vulgar music. I love loud music and I love it when other people appreciate loud music. Unfortunately, most people don't, and I am 100% positive that the average soccer mom or realtor trying to close on a house doesn't want to hear Oxycotton at 147dbs. So no, I think you should be respectful and listen to your music, NOT play it so other people can hear it.

This is spot ****ing on; nothing else needs to be said in this thread.

Bullshit, what else is better? The only thing that comes close is Don't Sweat the Technique or Paid in Full. It's just a masterpiece of music on all counts. All the beats are good, all the lyrics are good, all the features are good: it's perfect.

What do you guys hate more? Cheap honda civics having those loud freaken exhaust for no reason or a car system that's loud enough to be heard from the outside?

I think it's retarded for people to have loud exhaust.
